This past weekend I had the opportunity to take a trip to NY for the opening weekend of Fashion week. I had a blast as I always do, and caught some pretty stylish folk on camera..

"What Happened to Style"

I love this Crystler commercial. It was styled wonderfully, and shot beautifully.

And it posed a pretty great question "What happened to style?"

I'm all for one expressing themselves, but sometimes a persons dress may come off as a bit "tacky" and all over the place for lack of a better word.

I admire old school glamour and style so much and would like to see it come back within my generation. Where women dressed with sophistication and modesty.. you know, like a Lady. I hope I'm not the only one... *Shrugs*

Lets Travel

NYFW is approaching, and since February of last year, I have been making my way to NY for the festivities.

I had the opportunity to attend Tracy Reese show, and almost made Ports 1961 show but struggled with some technical difficulties lol. Any who, my trips have been some of the best times in my life thus far. I always have a blast and I'm sure this time will be no different.

I may not make it to any shows at the Lincoln Center but I will be attending This..

Should be fun, I hope I meet some great, interesting people.

The Ellements of Personal Style

Working at Urban Outfitters has is perks.. love that discount lol.

But what I also love is our current selection of Style and Fashion books. Yesterday I stumbled across "The Ellements of Personal Style"

A book showcasing the personal style of 25 Modern Fashion Icons, some include

Tracie Ellis Ross, Estelle, and Coreographer Fatima Robinson.

I cant wait to read this book, and the photographs are amazing.

Through His Lens

Whilst browsing the internet, I always happen to stumble upon some amazing information, and this time is no different.

Behold the amazing works of Bill Cunningham, Famous NY Street Style Photographer who has been capturing some of the most fashionable folk since before my time lol
