Mission Accomplished: DIY Leather Cuff

Remember this post --> here

One project down, a buch more to go. Instead of suede leather for the cuff I used regular leather (much harder to work with). Will def be using suede next time... the ring is solid brass and I searched the internet high and low for that one lol.

DC Roaming.. Fashionably

The month of November must be the month of fashionable events. With 4 events on my calendar this past Wednesday, all starting at or around the same time I was able to attend 2 of them. MontagePR's Meet and Tweet as well as  Paradigm//Shift - A two-part look at the state of DC fashion presented by the ladies of Birds of a Pleather. Event number two should have been attended by more folk who take fashion, especially in DC seriously. I have so many notes to share from the panel, but in the mean time check out these photos from event number one lol...

Designer on the Rise: Wellta

Saturday night I attended designer Wellta's SS 2012 Presentation of her "Little Black Dress" Collection. Shout outs to my girl Erin who I met at the "Dressed" Documentary, she invited me to the show. Talk about the power of networking huh lol. I got some great photos, and saw some familiar faces. Love seeing people I know.

The Amanda Dress: Sequin open back dress $220

Lee Dress: Full Bodied skirted dress with mesh back $190

Talk about great price points, and the fabrics are amazing. Wellta's attention to detail is impeccable. She featured a lot of exposed zippers and subtle hints of skin. I loved the mesh detail

Style: Paving the way

A few nights ago I viewed the Vidal Sassoon Documentary via Netflix titiled "Vidal Sassoon: The Movie" Prior to watching, the only knowledge I had of Vidal was his products. I had no idea that he was the creator of the Five Point Cut. Mr. Sassoon was an inovator, and trendsetter. This documentary was amazing and inspiring. I loved every bit of it. Captivating visually especially, and Vidal is a character full of wisdom.

I took craazy screen shots. Be inspired
