I Spy Around the Web: Shourouk Jewels

Of course I'm sitting here bored at work, browsing the web when I stumble upon this jewel of a find! Introducing Shourouk from Parisian designer Shourouk Rhaiem.I am in complete LOVE with this designers statement necklaces, earrings and bags. She certainly knows whats "on trend." Made with sworovski elements, enameled stones and crystals, these pieces will add an element of luxe to any outfit. Wish I could afford a piece or two! Check out her website HERE

Recap: DC Scout's Suited For Style Party

Last week I attended my first style event of the year thanks to my girl Dana. Gotta love friends who share events with you lol. In usual blogger fashion, I chatted to a few people, but I was mostly looking for good photo ops. The "Suited for Style" Party, presented by DC Scout took place at local Custom Clothier "Michael Andrews Bespoke" This man knows his suits I must say!

Best picture of the night LOL. Loved her dress.

Stylized: Jillian Napper of The Regal People

Tell me about you: where are you from, how old are you?
I'm from Washington, DC, born and raised. I'll be 24 years old on January 17th :)

What do you do?

I am an artist who dabbles in music (rapper) and fashion (clothing designer). I'm currently working on building up my brand, The Regal People, and finishing my eighth record titled YDKMTW (You Don't Know Me Too Welle).

When did you know that Fashion was something you were passionate about?
I never really knew that fashion would be something that I would become passionate about. I've always loved to express myself and working with my hands. Fashion came about as my yearning to be different grew bigger over the past few years.

What has been your biggest accomplishment to date?
Wow. My biggest accomplishment to date would have to be having the guts to actually put myself out there by getting on stages and performing and proving to myself that I can achieve what I believe - as corny as that may sound. But besides that I would have to say opening my own boutique. It's the reason why I got my degree in Fashion Merchandising in the first place.

What advice do you have for others aspiring to do what you do?
The only advice I have for others is to just take that leap. Creativity takes courage and being an entrepreneur takes risks. You'll fall flat on your face sometimes. That's okay. The important part is that you get back up and keep going.

Life quote: If there was one quote that summed up your view on life what would it be?
"Be the change you wish to see in the world" - Gandhi
How can we stay connected with you?
I'm constantly on Instagram (elleduzitwell), my guilty pleasure and I'm nosey haha. You can find me on Facebook (Search: Jillian Elle Maxwell Napper), Twitter (_ellemaxwell), and Tumblr (elleduzitwell).

Recap: Rolando Santana in DC

Two weeks ago, I had the pleasure of attending the Rolando Santana Trunk show at Karma Beauty Lounge in DC along with a few other lovely DC bloggers. Hosted by Makeda of GlamazonDiaries, the night was filled with beautiful clothes, lovely faces, and of course complimentary libations provided by Teavine.

With Deniso and Krystin

Rolondo and Model, his clothes are beautiful. He has a great eye for what silhouettes
 suit a woman best.

Model Rachel, and Tevine's John Hennry
GeorgeBStyle was hilarious! It was great meeting him
*Photos (all but the last one) provided by Glamazon Diaries. I really need to work on my photography skills lol
